Nigerian Dwarf and Pygmy Goats

I make good use out of the abundant milk my girls give!

Goat milk Fudge

3 cups sugar

1 -1/2 cups goat milk

1/2 c. margarine

1 tsp. vanilla

1- 12 oz pkg choc chips

1/2 c mini marshmallows

Cook milk and sugar over medium til it hits 238*F on candy thermometer, stir often so it doesn't stick. Once it reaches temperature, remove from heat and add the vanilla, margarine and chocolate chips. Stir well and add the marshmallows, beat til thick and spread in a buttered 8X8 pan.

I have also subbed the chocolate chips with the white chocolate and the dark chocolate chips....delicious!

PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE

3 C Sugar

1-1/2 C goatmilk

1/2 c margarine

1 tsp vanilla

1 C Peanut Butter

1/2 c mini marshmallows

Follow directions above for the chocolate fudge.

 Super simple Goats milk soap

2 oz. lye

3/4 cup goats milk

2 cups lard

(I also use the veg/meat based shortening from walmart)

Place the fat in a saucepan on low/med heat to melt while you add the lye to the goat milk, I find that if I partially freeze the milk it doesn't turn brown and stays a creamy color. When the fat has melted, add the lye/milk mixture into the oil. Mix using a stick blender til it goes to trace( thickens) then at that time I will add any essential or fragrance oils. Pour into mold and cover with plastic wrap, then a blanket or folded bath towel to hold in the heat while the soaponification takes place. Let rest 24-36 hours before you unmold it.

I have doubled this recipe with no problems.
